Warren Bellows

My life has been a journey full of questions and discoveries. Being perennially curious, I have traveled a circuitous path that makes sense only as I grow older. A few highlights:  -Being the VP of Marketing for Celestial Seasonings in the early days taught me a lot about the field of business and working groups.  Being a gardener in Findhorn, Scotland for several years taught me how to communicate with the nature kingdoms as well as live in a spiritual community.  Sailing the Pacific Ocean for a year taught me how to be with myself.  Learning and Practicing Taoist Five Element acupuncture for 20 years taught me about how we evolve by staying true to the energy and laws of Nature.  My curiosity guides my artistic expression on an ever-evolving path of questions and discoveries.  You can learn more about Warren at his website www.wbellows.com.

Bradford Brenner

Art, for me, is about creating a feeling that can be shared. Art is about relationships. The relationship between light and dark, color and non-color, warm and cool, form and formless. Most importantly, art is about the relationship between the viewer and the painting. There is a universal feeling that I try to get to in each piece and I use that feeling or emotion as the barometer to know when I should put the brushes down. As with the interconnectedness of individual components of a work of art, there is an interconnectedness between people that binds them to something greater than themselves. It is the wholeness of life. It is that feeling that I'm trying to capture and reconnect both myself and the viewer to.  You can see some of Bradford’s work in the Oil Gallery section of this website, or visit him at www.bradfordbrenner.com.

My favorite subjects to paint are the landscapes of Bennett Valley in Sonoma County, where I live.  I also enjoy painting at the river's edge at sunset. Autumn is a wonderful time to paint on location.  The light is soft and the days are getting shorter, which makes the shadows long and interesting as they cascade over the landscape. My favorite time to paint is sunset. I paint quickly to capture the sunlight before it goes over the mountain.  Find out more about Donna at www.donnat.50megs.com

The point of view of his paintings is that of one intimately familiar with the land, an observant admirer who has been exploring and loving California his whole life.   Each painting reflects a unique experience from the rolling Sonoma hills to the crashing waves on the rugged coastline or the geologic abstraction of the high Sierra.
